Main Functions

Report to Director of Customer Service, the Assistant Import-Export International will :

  • Help and provide guideline to different Business Unit in regards of International Customs rules for Import-Export;

  • Related to specific rules as: FSVP, FDA, APHIS, NOP etc.;

  • Documentations required for Import-Export;

  • Verification of Origin., CUSMA, CETA and others Free Trade;

  • Build guideline toll if needed;

  • Manage users access for Lallemand Inc, which include few BU: CERS, CFIA, FDA;

  • Prepare and review Free Trade like CUSMA for Lallemand Inc and some others BU in North America. Including the annual review;

  • Answer to our Customs Brokers on different topic;

  • Follow up the global agreement Halal certification: Certificates and invoicing.

Technical skills

Required

  • Ability to deal with international businesses and good understanding of international business norms and document.
  • 2 years experience in logistic and or import/export
  • Excellente base on Excel and Microsoft suite, Internet

An asset

  • Knowledge of the supply chain and different kind of transportations
  • Knowledge of food industry

Personal abilities

  • Able to work independently and within a team
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency
  • Ability to work in a time constrained environment
  • Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English, French is a plus
  • Detail-oriented, self-sufficient, resourceful, organized, and proactive

  • Basic knowledge on accounting
